Dr. Danielle Sweeney is a board-certified Urologist with sub-specialty certification in Pediatric Urology. She received her undergraduate degree with honors at Tulane University in New Orleans, also graduating Cum Laude. She also obtained her medical degree in New Orleans at the Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Sweeney completed two years of General Surgery training followed by a Urologic Surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She completed an advanced training fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Her fellowship had a special emphasis on minimally invasive pediatric surgery and advanced kidney stone disease management. Dr. Sweeney has also authored multiple peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and scientific presentations in the field of urology and pediatric urology.

Dr. Sweeney was the first pediatric surgeon in Central Texas to use the daVinci Surgical Robot in the pediatric population. She holds dual appointments at the University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and Perioperative Care and Pediatrics.

Dr. Sweeney was named one of Austin’s Top Doctors for Pediatric Urology in 2013 & 2018 (Austin Monthly Magazine), and Texas Super Doctors Rising Star (Texas Monthly Magazine) in 2014.
